Not only did I not do better with my October recap than I did in September, I did worse.

Much worse.

All I can say is that I will keep trying

This month includes National Black Cat Appreciation and I can say with pride that I Do appreciate black cats.

Thursday Oct 1st – Happy First Day of October!

This morning we awoke in St. Augustine and had breakfast at the Beachside Diner with Wayne and Laurie.

Back in Jacksonville, it began raining on October 1st and did not stop until October 12th.  It was not a promising start to the month and I felt depressed quite often.  However, I promised that I would do better with my recap this month, so lets see what we have…

Friday Oct 2nd – baking cookies to celebrate fall: Maple sugar cookies with sprinkles

Saturday Oct 3rd – Book Club meets

Sunday Oct 4th – I started the October book The Count of Monte Cristo, and I have little faith that I will be able to finish all 118 chapters by the end of the month.

Wednesday Oct 7th – Survivor night

Thursday Oct 8th – We have not gone out yet this week due to the rain ⛈️

Friday Oct 9th – Alhambra date night with LB

Saturday Oct 10th – Pizza night 🍕

Monday Oct 12th – Sunshine; Columbus Day; LB went to visit his youngest daughter and her new baby.

Tuesday Oct 13th – Movie night: Hocus Pocus

Wednesday Oct 14th – Finally dry enough to work in the yard; Mexican takeout; Survivor night

Thursday Oct 15th – another yard work day – thank you Lord for the sunshine!

Friday Oct 16th – Kim’s annual eye exam and shopping at Target; Global Cat Day 🐱

Wednesday Oct 21st – another yard work day – Survivor night

Thursday Oct 22nd – Ozzy’s 1st birthday

Friday Oct 23rd – LB & I voted and went to Costco – Pizza night – LB made me watch Soylent Green with him 🤢

Saturday Oct 24th – Movie night: Hocus Pocus again

Monday Oct 26th – Finished The Count of Monte Cristo; Started The Witch

Tuesday Oct 27th – in addition to all the other cat celebrations, today is National Black Cat Day (check out my TikTok)

Wednesday Oct 28th – Survivor night

Saturday Oct 31st – dress up and attend the Ballasso Annual Halloween Party
